Eire Aonair's Stance on Northern Ireland Empty
PostSubject: Eire Aonair's Stance on Northern Ireland   Eire Aonair's Stance on Northern Ireland EmptyMon May 16, 2011 7:43 pm

[1.0] The following document outlines Eire Aonair's official stance on the eRepulic of Ireland's (eIreland's) relationship with the eBritish region of Northern Ireland.

[1.1] This document is open to revision by the Party President of Eire Aonair.

[1.11] The Party President of Eire Aonair must have at least 50% membership vote approval to make any revision to this document.

[1.12] The Party President of Eire Aonair must have at least 50% membership vote approval to abolish or replace this document.

[1.13] Following any revision, abolition, or replacement of this document, 80% membership vote approval will be required for a 30 day period in order to make any further changes regarding this document. Following that 30 day period, a 50% membership vote approval will be required.

*note: "membership vote approval" refers to a certain percentage of affirmative votes by members within a time period of at least 24 hours. 100% member participation is not required, although all valid members must be enfranchised to participate in the vote.

Northern Ireland as an Original Territory of the eUnited Kingdom

[2.0] Eire Aonair accepts that in accordance with the method employed by the makers of eRepubik to choose the original nationality of a territory, Northern Ireland is mechanically an original territory of the eUnited Kingdom.

[2.1] Eire Aonair seeks to adress the issue of Northern Ireland in the game of eRepublik, as a separate matter to real life parallels.

[2.2] Eire Aonair views unity as a matter of the characteristics and operations of a community rather than an issue of territory.

Northern Ireland as a Natural Target of eIreland

[3.0] Eire Aonair believes that Northern Ireland is a natural target of eIreland for occupation.

[3.1] Eire Aonair cites the following factors as justification for this belief.

[3.11] Northern Ireland is a territory located on Ireland (the island), and the only such territory not occupied by eIreland (the nation).

[3.111] This justification will continue to hold true despite any development in foreign affairs with the occupying nation of Northern Ireland.

[3.12] Northern Ireland contains fish. This resource is not available anywhere else in Ireland.

[3.13] eIreland is the traditional ally of eCanada and eUnited States of America. Its only other neighbour is the eUnited Kingdom.

Urgency

[4.0] Despite Eire Aonair's belief that Northern Ireland is the natural target of eIrish occupation, it does not believe that the occupation of Northern Ireland should be the primary or perpetual goal of eIreland.

[4.1] Eire Aonair supports the active effort to occupy Northern Ireland only when such activity does not significantly negatively impact eIreland's future or present.

[4.11] Important foreign affairs relations with allies, alliances, or important friendly polities, should not be sacrificed.

[4.12] eIreland's potential to remain a successful nation and/or to grow, should not be compromised.

[4.13] eIreland's security against wipes should be held as a higher.

[4.14] The ultimate success of eIreland's community, economy, military, and government should be held as the highest priority.
